Providing that we can gain use of the projector, this Thursday I will be screening Terry Gilliam's cult-classic "Brazil".

The film will start no earlier and no later than 2000 hours.

Tarkovsky's great movie offered a complicated delight to a small audience last night. Anyone up for a Tarkovsky evening as the good way to understand his poetics?

GoodMovies has a slow start - Citizen Kane did not happen last week (I'm still up for it so let me know if you want to see it)
Instead we watched some of the Oscar nominated movies of which Slumdog Millionaire was one of the best.
Last night we started late but we watched, as we were hoping, Renoir's best known: La Règle du jeu  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rules_of_the_Game
As we did't have enough we tried the 'Benjamin Button' movie. It proved to be a bad idea.
Next week - Andrei Rublev (Андрей Рублёв)
