YEAY log

A healthy antidote to the oops log. This is why we have the carvanesary, or why we like being here.

more open and direct communication

posted Nov 1, 2009, 3:35 AM by sebastian@projectvolunteering.net

I felt like yesterday dinner discussion facilitated more clarity to me on what people are thinking and feeling and I like the feeling that I have come to a better understanding what anyone here is thinking and feeling and it helps me a lot if people can make that explicit. I value open and direct speech.

Sebastian is happy

I have been planing to visit two friends in Belgium, one fo whom I first met at project volunteering, and thought about that this weekend and come back by Thursday. However, this morning I woke up thinking "I love this place so much I want to stay!". And that I would like to spend more time with people in the project and work less in front of the computer, just so much work to do in this world. Thanks for everyone who contributes to this project! Also, the free room is still available to be used for example for a photo exhibition Sebstian started planing in his mind. You can use it too!

Invitation to Sweden

HÖSTFEST!

(Swedish autumnpary)

Emma, Nathalie and Ula, together with the ecological Geberscommunity invites PV-berlin to a (un)traditional HÖSTFEST, in community spirit.

Community cooking and breadbaking workshop, maybie follow the dinner with a swim in the lake, just outside the door, follow up with some sauna, and then a storytellerevening around the bonfire in "kåtan" (a swedish Samihouse)

We will arrange a bedroom "PV-style" in the house, so everyone is welcome to sleep here.

As usual everyone is welcome to participate with ideas and workshops. Do you want do dance salsa in our empty pool? fine, we will arrange that!

It would also be great if you want to invite the swedish guests we have had a PV. They are all welcome, maybe Nathalie brings Otto, and I contact Emil who stayed at our place.

When? September 24

How? We meet you up at T-central to take you here.

so? More ideas?

Sometimes it works without words

I have gmail open all the time, with my status set to busy. I would only get one or two people every week, but the last weeks I had somebody every day (probably because I was the only one online). I had to be short, so I decided to write that people should not contact me between 9-18

So far so good, one guy opened the chat window, but then realized and left. (maybe smth else?)

And then Manuel and Theresa added themselves as chattable.

Magic!

Maybe this all has nothing to do with each other, but it's cool it can work like that. If everyone is very perceptive, their is less frustration about communicating? Is there communication with no intent?

I wanted to thank everyone and say that I love all of you.  /cheese

We had a great meeting and made some of the most important steps we've made as a group of people relating to and interacting with one another.

Communication..

Hallway machine

This morning I didn't even realize that a machine had ever been moising our house for 2 weeks. Then I felt an empty space and covered wholes on the floor. And silence!!!!!!
A man came willing to write down the names of the flat so he could calculate the bill. Well maybe this part should no be in the yeay log!

I'm so happy to be back!

... with Emma's crazy pink wig
... with my favourite Alien ever
... with my naked Italian bringing me food
... with my doubtful humoured Belgian!
... with our shared version of Tau (where is the clone!?)
... with Jake that seems to be more involved (is it just me or.. ?)
... with Paul seeming more satisfied with the project!
... with Michael cooking tasty cakes
... with the horny girls (I won't name them here)
... with Ulla even though she looks so tired
... meeting Jade and tonight Naomi (she looks great! she wants to live here!)

Who am I forgetting?

There is a wind of change and a positive energy, hidden under our messy premisses...
And even on the website!

Can't wait to see Manuel and Vicky and visit the big pink and all...

... miss the Viking too!

Meeting . Tuesday 23 June 2009

posted Jun 23, 2009, 1:44 PM by Clayton Mitchell   [ updated Jun 23, 2009, 1:55 PM by Lucian Cosinschi ]

We had a meeting tonight
the notes are elsewhere

I just wanted to say that it feels really good that we are doing this because we want to and taking matters to task in order to ensure our continued livelihood together.

I like that we decided together to have these meetings and they continue because we have an accord to do so, but not as a rule, rather a desire to communicate and work better together.

It is a great relief to end the meetings and realise they are worthwhile and motivation for continuation.

I like to resolve those mundane issues as a matter of course, spontaneously, so we can just enjoy living together and caring about one another.

So, everyone is awesome, especially Timmy, who is a big deal.
